Theaters

The desire to establish a permanent professional theater in Belgrade dates back to 1841.

It was founded in 1947 as a representative theater of the new Yugoslavia.

The Atelje 212 Theater began its life on 12th November 1956, with the premiere concert of Gete’s “Faust”.

Since 2008, dramatic, dance, music and fine arts have a modern home in an attractive address in the very center of the city.

Founded in 1998 as the first private opera in this part of Europe.

Several separate programme units within film, theater, music and visual arts are shown co-exist in Academy 28.
